IBPS conducted CWE exam for PO last year 18.09.2011
1 million candidates had applied for that only 100000 mad in the exam.
Those who passed the exam & possessed valid score card which has been issued by IBPS are allowed for all those 19 banks.
IBPS includes 19 banks & a passed candidate are allowed to give interview in all the 19 banks which comes under IBPS.
But he/she should posse that much mark for the interview for a particular bank.
For example-Corporation banks are allowing those candidates for interview who have scored 151+ marks out of 250 marks in general category.
SC/ST-126+ marks out of 250 marks
OBC-141+ marks out of 250 marks
PWD-106+ marks out of 250 marks.

& same pattern is followed by other banks which are included in IBPS,only difference of marks.Some allows for higher marks & some lower marks.

The IBPS is newly introduced pattern scheme for conducting the recruitment of 19 PUBLIC SECTOR BANKS THROUGH SINGLE EXAM.Steps to be followed in recruiting are written test,group discussion and personal interview.
