Re: How many times government candidate can give IES exam

    Hello,

As per UPSC definition IES stands for Indian economic services (you can check it in the form in which you apply for the exam). If you want to know about engineering services exam:
As of now there is no cap for maximum number of attempts. You can apply as many times as you wish and your maximum age limit do not expires. The maximum age limit for general candidates is 30 years relaxed upto 3/5 years for OBC/SCand ST candidates. There is no relaxation given to government employees except if you are from the defence services.

    Best of Luck.

Re: How many times government candidate can give IES exam

IES i.e Indian engineering services and this examination is organised every year by union public service commission (UPSC). For which you need to have completed graduation in engineering stream and age should be between 21 years to 30 years. Now regarding the number of attempts, if you are an general category student then you have four attempts only, for an OBc category student then allows maximum seven times to appear in this exam and for the Sc/st category there is not an limit to appear.
