    Information about AFCAT? Books to be referred for English, GK?

    sir!.. i want some information about AFCAT (airforce exam). i want to know about study books.. authors and all details for English, G.k, then some tips to clear the written and ssb interview...... plz.... reply soon............

    Airforce Common Admission Test eligibility is as follows:

    AFCAT eligibility for Flying Branches:-
    AGE:
    19-23 years
    Academic Qualification:
    10+2 pass from a recognised university with maths & physics.
    Graduates in any discipline with minimum 60% marks.

    Physical standards:
    -
    Height: 163 cm
    Leg length: 90-120 cm
    vision: 6/6 or 6/9

    NOTE: candidates who failed in pilot aptitude battery test or a person suspended cannot apply for this post.

    ]--freind hi,

    ]--The AFCAT is carried out every year and is controlled by the IAF. In 2011 the exam is held on March 27 in designated test centers.
    --The AFCAT is a 2 hour long exam which will have objective type question. --Each of these objective questions will be provided with 4 options as answers.
    --The candidate must select the correct one from the given option.
    --The Syllabus of AFCAT exam will test students in
    the areas like Reasoning, Numerical and verbal
    ability. Other than these students will also be
    tested in General awareness and Knowledge.
    --The number of question will be 100 or more.
    --For preparing for the AFCAT candidates must prepare
    by solving previous years question papers and also
    must refer to books and guides indented for this
    exam. Students can also refer to other competitive exams like Bank PO, LIC, NICL etc.

    AFCAT is Air force common admission test.The test is conducted for other than UPSC entries which includes
    Flying branch,
    Technical branch
    ,ground duty branch.
    The eligibility for the exam

    The exam is of two hours duration and contains multiple choice questions.
    The syllabus for the exam includes
    verbal ability,
    numerical ability,
    reasoning,
    general awareness and
    aptitude.

    the exam is conducted in the month of June and December

    For airforce common admission test you refer book specifically named airforce enterance test and for gk prtiyogita darpan and for english r s agarwal and for mth also r s agarwal

    AFCAT means Air force common admission test.This exam is conducted by Air force for the recruitment of Ground duty officer,Technical branch & Flying branch.

    Eligibility for Flying branches:-
    1.CANDIDATE SHOULD BE 10+2 WITH PCM & HAVE SCORED 60%
    2.GRADUATE IN ANY DISCIPLINE
    3.AGE MUST BE BETWEEN 19 YEARS TO 23 YEARS

    Eligibility for Technical branches:-
    1.CANDIDATE MUST BE GRADUATE IN B.TECH OR BE WITH 60%
    2.AGE MUST BE BETWEEN 20 YEARS TO 25 YEARS

    Eligibility for Ground duty officer:-
    1.CANDIDATE MUST BE GRADUATE IN ANY DISCIPLINE WITH 60% OR GRADUATE IN ACCOUNTS.
    2.AGE MUST BE BETWEEN 20 YEARS TO 25 YEARS.

    If you passed the AFCAT exam then will call for other test like PICTURE PERCEPTION TEST & INTELLIGENCE TEST,INTERVIEW & LAST MEDICAL CHECK UP.
    If passed in these test then would call for training period for at least 52 weeks for technical & ground duty but for flying branch 74 weeks.

    Syllabus of AFCAT-- It consists of following section:

    1.Verbal Ability
    2.Numerical Ability
    3.Reasoning
    4.General Awareness and Aptitude.

    Time duration of AFCAT exam paper is two hours. The entire question
    will be of Multiple Choice Questions. Each question will be 3 marks. There is negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer.

    Dear friends, the requirement for AFCAT is as follows-

    1. The age of candidate should be
    19-23 years.

    2. The candidate have should be Academic Qualification is
    10 2 pass from a recognised university with maths & physics.
    Or
    Graduates in any discipline with minimum 60% marks.

    Details of the AFCAT exam:-


    1.Flying branch :-

    Candidate must have complete the graduation in any trade, but must have maths and physics in 12th..

    Candidates age should be in between 19-23 years.

    2.Technical branch:-

    Candidate must have complete the graduation in engineering field.

    Age should be in between 18-28 years.

    3.Ground duty branch:-

    Candidate must have complete the graduation in any trade.

    Age should be in between 20-27 years.

    Details for A.F.C.A.T:

    A.F.C.A.T stands for Air Force Common Admission Test and there are are 3 branches in A.F.C.A.T for joining in Air force.

    > Ground Duty Branch:
    Candidate must have a age limit of 20-27 years and must have done their graduation from a recognized university with 60% aggregate.
    you should graduate in any discipline with minimum 60% aggregate subjects.

    > Flying Branch:
    Candidate must have a age limit of 19-23 years and must have done their graduation in B.E/B.Tech from a recognized university with 60% aggregate.

    PHYSICAL STANDARD......
    height and weight.....min 162.5 cms and correlated weight.
    leg length...min 99 cms max 120 cms.
    thigh length ..max 64 cms.
    sitting height..min 81.5 cms max 96 cms

    > Technical Branch:

    Candidate must have a age limit of 18-28 years and must have done their graduation in Aeronautical Engineering from a recognized university with 60% aggregate.
