    Re: Job after B.Tech in Electronics and Communication from Jalpaiguri Government engineering college?

    Hi Guest,

    You have good academic background but you are unable to find job because of your communication skills.

    Only technical skills in you will not fetch you anything even though you have good percentage.

    As you are good in your academics you can be eligible to almost all kinds of jobs in India.

    But in order to get placed in the company you need to speak bold in front of all the people.

    So keep aiming on all your technical and communication skills, which are very useful for you.

    If you have these both qualities in you then you can easily get into any kind of job.

    As you are from ECE, you will be having good future in all the fields as you can for technical or else in non technical field also.

    The opportunities are as follows:

    You can enter into either public sector or private sector.

    In private sector the jobs are available in IT sector.

    The different companies which offer jobs are:

    INFOSYS

    IBM

    MICROSOFT

    SYNTEL

    MPHASIS

    And many other IT companies..

    In case of public sector you can enter into the following.

    Technical Sector (Jobs in ISRO, BHEL, NPCIL, ECIL, NMDC AND MANY OTHER COMPANIES)

    Civil service exam (IAS, IPS and even you can apply for IES)

    There are many jobs in Railways with different job roles.

    In Banking sector (Jobs in SBI, ICICI, IBPS common exam for 19 banks).

    In this way you can apply for any of the field which is eligible for you.

    I suggest you to go through the notifications regularly and apply for the jobs.

    Thank you,

    All the best.

    Re: Job after B.Tech in Electronics and Communication from Jalpaiguri Government engineering college?

    Hello Aspirant

    I feel sorry to hear that you are being facing this problem. Your academic track record shows that you are a very outstanding candidate. See stammering or stuttering is a common problem for many candidates.This is not a disease at all. There is a solution for this. Its better to consult a psychiatrist or speech therapist.You will definitely get better guidance for controlling your speech to a greater extent.So need not worry about this.To know more on this you can follow the below mentioned links

    LINK 1 - http://www.stuttering.net/
    LINK 2 - http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_you_ca...mering_problem

    As per your request ,I am suggesting you some important job prospects relevant to your engineering stream:

    --> I E S / I A S :-
    If you want a dream job,probably the best paid and prestigious job in our country then you should go for I.E.S or I.A.S civil service exams.These are central govt exams conducted by U.P.S.C under the guidance and supervision of Ministry of Human resource Development.You may also apply for the technical jobs conducted by staff selection commission or state public services commission to be able to join some respectable jobs in your own state.The jobs that you will be given after qualifying I.E.S / I.A.S will comprise a mixture of both managerial decisions and technical supervision.The perks and emoluments after salary is really the best.So try to crack this exam.But remember the difficulty level and syllabus for both the above mentioned exams are appreciably high.You need to have indepth knowledge regarding the subject.

    ---> GATE entrance exam: -
    Some oil and gas refineries, power sectors and Manufacturing companies like Power Grid, N.T.P.C, B.H.E.L, I.O.C.L and B.A.R.C also provides opportunities for desperate and outstanding candidates to work for their organization. These sectors are interested in those students possessing a very handsome GATE scorecard.So if you want to get absorbed in any of best public sector organizations then GATE exam is a must for you.Start preparing for the gate exam by enrolling yourself in some coaching institute. Currently ACE academy ,MADE EASY are successfully running institutes probably the best in providing GATE coaching.

    ---> Defense & Research oriented Sectors :-
    If you want a job which is challenging , prestigious and the same time related to patriotism then you can opt for Defence sector exams like A.F.C.A.T for opportunities in Indian Air Force.This exams are powered by Ministry of Defence.Similarly you may also opt for Research oriented organizations like D.R.D.O & I.S.R.O for scientific level positions.Well here the life is more disciplined and the perks and emoluments after salary are really good.This kind of jobs are central govt jobs with a good pay.

    --->Central Govt Wings :- Some of the Major Government wings like Telecom sectors,Indian Railway,Indian Airlines,Indian Postal services,Indian revenue services,central excise office, Income tax dept etc also do require candidate from different core streams.You are also eligible for any of these jobs also.But remember that the jobs in these sectors are more managerial oriented rather than technical oriented.But you may expect some exciting technical jobs in Telecom sector and Indian Railway.You can avail the news for job notifications from freshersworld.com

    ---> Public Sector Undertakings : -
    Some major Maharatna,Navaratna and Miniratna awarded public sector undertakings (B.H.E.L, N.T.P.C, O.N.G.C, N.P.C.I.L, G.A.I.L, N.H.P.C, S.A.I.L, I.O.C.L, C.I.L etc) of our country have a regular vacancies every year.These P.S.Us conduct a written exam followed by an interview to hire good many number of candidates from Electrical, Mechanical, Civil and Electronics branches every year. They hire executive trainees and Management Trainees from the pool of Engineering and business stream candidates.You may start preparing for these competitive exams by enrolling yourself in some best coaching institute or by self study techniques.The notifications of such exams can be available from "employment news" on a weekly basis or you may visit freshersworld website regularly.But remember you have to be really good enough in your studies to be able to crack those exams. Just having surface knowledge wont help you.

    ---> Banking Sectors : -
    Yes this is very much true,even an Engineering graduate can also apply for clerical, PO/MT, AO,Technical officer types of posts in the banks.What you need here is just a degree certificate from a recognized institution or university with 55% marks which I am sure you have it.This sector is gaining a lot of momentum as far as modernization is concerned.Also the number of candidates to hired by the end of this year would likely cross 1 lakh.So there is a hell lot of opportunity in banking sector.This kind of exams are also not that difficult.Just solving few model questions will really help you get a good rank.But yeah Time Management is an important aspect of these exam. Hope you understand.

    --->IT Sectors:
    Yes thats correct.This is also a good option for you.You can sit in many IT sector off-campus drives if you are having 60 % throughout career without any educational gaps.But if you are from Non - IT stream ,then you may have to develop your skills in programming languages.

    I hope you are clear now.Anyways best of luck for a bright and healthy future.

    Regards

    Re: Job after B.Tech in Electronics and Communication from Jalpaiguri Government engineering college?

    Hello dude!

    Firstly the college you have studied that is jalpaiguri engineering college is a recognized government engineering college.It is also approved by All India Council for Technical Education.

    The candidates who have completed graduation in E.C.E will have two types of opportunities.One is they can choose their career in software field and the other opportunity is they can work in hardware i.e; core companies.Both are different platforms and it is upto you to decide where you should work.

    In SOFTWARE field you have many opportunities as there are many companies recruiting candidates who have completed B.tech with atleast 60% of marks.The various companies you can apply for jobs are:
    ACCENTURE
    INFOSYS
    HCL
    TCS
    SYNTEL
    IBM
    GOOGLE
    MICROSOFT etc.

    If you want to get into above mentioned companies you need to have good knowledge on the languages that are related to computer like C,C++,JAVA,ORACLE etc.

    If you can prove yourself that you have good knowledge on the above mentioned courses then it would be very easier for your for getting selected in the software companies because most of the companies give preference to the above courses only.

    Then coming to the core side,if you write the GATE Exam then you can try for jobs in the companies like
    NTPC
    ONGC
    G.A.I.L
    S.A.I.L
    B.H.E.L
    ECIL
    POWER GRID etc.

    So try in the above companies but you must perform well in the GATE EXAM for getting those jobs.

    These are the various sectors where you can try for jobs related to your studies.Other than these there are few other sectors,they are:
    BANKING SECTOR-In this sector you can apply for the clerk posts and probationary posts as you have completed graduation.You need to write a common entrance test and if qualified you will get an interview chance through which you will get jobs.

    UPSC EXAMS:
    All the candidates who have got bachelor's degree are eligible for the exams conducted by the Union Public Service Commission.These exams are conducted for the posts in Indian Government.

    INDIAN RAILWAYS:As you have completed graduation in engineering you are eligible for the GROUP I,II,III and IV posts in Indian Railways.

    So work hard and the days have become so competitive for getting jobs.Put your maximum efforts then surely you will get job.

    HOPE THE INFORMATION HELPED YOU AND ALL THE BEST.
