    Hi friend,

    Candidates with MA in Psychology are hugely recruited in private organization in various positions. In man private schools there are posts open for psychologists. Most of the school offer student counseling as well as mental fitness services to adolescents as to guide them in the right direction. MA in psychology graduates will also find jobs as junior psychologist in the community mental fitness departments. They can also find jobs with private companies involved in the research, data collection and psychoanalysis. Some can find jobs in rehabilitation centers as Assistants psychologists.
    • Advertising and public relations managers
    • Clinical social workers
    • Sociologists
    • Special education teachers
    • Counselor
    • Marketing research analysts
    A person with MA in psychology also has excellent career opportunities in the Government sector. Candidates who take up Doctorate in psychology with an emphasis in clinical, counseling, health, and educational psychology will have ever better career prospects. Psychologists with an extensive training in research and computer science will also receive an added advantage over applicants.


    In the government sector, a candidate from MA Psychology specialized in clinical psychology will be able to find jobs in various accredited psychiatric nursing homes. Psychologist's services are required in many government hospitals,rehabilitation centers, schools. counseling units etc. It is compulsory to appoint are least on counselor in schools under this board. They could also find opportunities in NGO's and social welfare departments in the post of counselors.

    After completion of your graduation, you can work as technician, psychiatric or research assistant and in assisting licensed psychologists at health centres, residential homes, and on vocational or correctional programmes.
    Post Graduate Degree: Post Graduate Degree (M.Sc., M.Phil) generally can be completed within the duration of 2 years. This full-time course study includes an internship in an applied setting or a thesis based on original research.

    Clinical Psychology Salary
    After completion of postgraduate degree, you can work in clinics, hospitals, government institutions, health centers and group practices. Without completion of your Ph.D you are required to work under the supervision of a doctorate holder for some specific posts.
