Re: Job opportunities for B.Tech in 3rd year EEE with an aggregate of 81%?

    Hello dude!

I congratulate you for your percentile because that was just awesome and i suggest you not to worry because it is a software company and will concentrate only on departments like C.S.E,E.C.E and I.T.

It doesn't mean candidates belonging to other categories are not recruited but less preference is given.

I suggest you to try in the core side because it suits best for the E.E.E students. If any core company visits your college for recruitment then work hard to get into that company. Also concentrate on subjects like VLSI,Chip technology,Electronics devices and circuits.

Coming to the job opportunities there are chances in both private and government sector.you can try in Power stations, robotics and other sectors.

    * In final year write the GATE EXAM because it helps you a lot in getting jobs in government companies because if you get a good score then there are many public sector undertakings like
    GAIL,
    SAIL,
    NTPC,
    ONGC,
    B.H.E.L,
B.E.L etc that recruit candidates based on the GATE score.

    * Also write the IBPS clerk and P.O posts because you can easily enter the government sector with those bank jobs.Though the initial salary is less as your experience increases then salary also increases.

    * Also try for the graduate posts in INDIAN RAILWAYS,INDIAN NAVY and INDIAN ARMY.

The above mentioned are the opportunities available for the B.Tech graduates.

HOPE THE INFORMATION HELPED YOU AND ALL THE BEST.

Re: Job opportunities for B.Tech in 3rd year EEE with an aggregate of 81%?

    Dear friend
As you have not completed your graduation yet so you can apply for 12th level job now. But after completing B.tech you will be able to apply for various government sector jobs such as bank p.o, assistant engineer,BSNL JTO etc. As you are in 3rd year and you have one more year to complete your b.tech degree. so concentrate on your study for good percentage.

As your a science candidates (12th) you may apply for various government jobs. There are several jobs after passing class 12 but the only limitation for this is that the candidate who are applying must have at least minimum of 18 years.
Where as in the case of Defence the minimum age required will be 16 years.

The list of government jobs in which you can apply after passing class 12 are:-

    NDA
    SSC
    IBPS(for clerk)
    Railways
    Indian airforce
    Indian navy
    Indian defence

NOTE:-The upper age limit fro getting any government jobs is 28 years.
Age relaxation facilities given to the reserved candidates as per government norms.
    The details are as follows:-

    3 years for OBC candidates
    5 years for SC/ST candidates.

    Hi
Since you have a good percentage I don't think getting a job is tough if you have good communication skills as well as soft skills. Since you want to get a job in a software industry, try learning the courses like JAVA,C,C#,C++.... etc... But since you are a EEE student you can also get into the electrical companies because as far as I know you have a good core knowledge known from your percentage... So don't just try for software try for your core companies also... bye...All The Best

    Hello Dear

If you are interested in IT sector jobs then you may have to do certain programing courses. Not only that. You also have to start developing some good communication skills which is most likely seen in campus drives by recruiters. Don't worry.Your percentage is really good. You can more likely have job opportunities in various govt,PSU and Private sectors.Anyways I am going to provide you a list of some important govt job prospects.

    1> PSUs : -

Some major Maharatna,Navaratna and Miniratna awarded public sector undertakings (BHEL, NTPC, ONGC, NPCIL, GAIL, NHPC, SAIL, IOCL, CIL etc) of our country have a regular vacancies every year. These PSUs conduct a written exam followed by an interview to hire good many number of candidates from Electrical,Mechanical,Electronics,Civil branches every year. You may start preparing for these competitive exams by enrolling yourself in some best coaching institute or by self study techniques. The notifications of such exams can be available from "employment news" on a weekly basis or you may visit freshersworld website regularly. But remember you have to be really good enough in your studies to be able to crack those exams. Just having surface knowledge wont help you.

    2> I E S / I A S :-

If you want a dream job, probably the best paid and prestigious job in our country then you should go for IES or IAS civil service exams. These are central govt exams conducted by UPSC under the guidance and supervision of Ministry of Human resource Development. You may also apply for the technical jobs conducted by staff selection commission or state public services commission to be able to join some respectable jobs in your own state. The jobs that you will be given after qualifying IES / IAS will comprise a mixture of both managerial decisions and technical supervision. The perks and emoluments after salary is really the best.So try to crack this exam. But remember the difficulty level and syllabus for both the above mentioned exams are appreciably high. You need to have indepth knowledge regarding the subject.

    3>Central Govt Wings :-

Some of the Major Government wings like Telecom sectors,Indian Railway,Indian Airlines,Indian Postal services,Indian revenue services, central excise office,Income tax dept etc also do require candidate from different core streams. You are also eligible for any of these jobs also. But remember that the jobs in these sectors are more managerial oriented rather than technical oriented. But you may expect some exciting technical jobs in Telecom sector and Indian Railway.

    4> G A T E entrance exam: -

Some oil and gas refineries, power sectors and Manufacturing companies like Power Grid, NTPC, BHEL, IOCL and BARC also provides opportunities for desperate and outstanding candidates to work for their organization. These sectors are interested in those students possessing a very handsome GATE scorecard. So if you want to get absorbed in any of best public sector organizations then GATE exam is a must for you.Start preparing for the gate exam by enrolling yourself in some coaching institute.Currently ACE academy ,MADE EASY are successfully running institutes probably the best in providing GATE coaching.

    5> Banking / Financial Sectors : -

Yes this is very much true, even an Engineering graduate in any discipline can also apply for clerical, PO/MT, Administrative Officer,Technical officer types of posts in various banks and other financial institutions. What you need here is just a degree certificate from a recognized institution or university with 55% marks which I am sure you have it.This sector is gaining a lot of momentum as far as modernization is concerned. Also the number of candidates to hired by the end of this year would likely cross 2 lakhs. So there is a hell lot of opportunity in banking sector. This kind of exams are also not that difficult.Just solving few model questions will really help you get a good rank. But yeah speed and accuracy is an important criteria in the exam.Hope you understand

    6> Defense Sectors :-

If you want a job which is challenging , prestigious and the same time related to patriotism then you have to try and qualify the exams conducted by these organization which are powered by Ministry of Defense.Well here the life is more disciplined and the perks and emoluments after salary are really good. This kind of jobs are central govt jobs with a good pay.

    --->IT Sectors:

Yes thats correct. This is also a good option for you.You can sit in many IT sector off-campus drives if you are having 60 % throughout career without any educational gaps
.But if you are from Non - IT stream ,then you may have to develop your skills in programming languages.

    1. JAVA including Core and Advanced JAVA.
    2. ORACLE .

    3. SAP (Some institutes also placement on this completion of this course)

    4. Hardware Networking.
    5. C , C++,C #,Visual C++.

    6. J2EE.
    7. DATABASE Management System.
    8. DOT NET.

    9. Software testing and Handling.

    10. Advanced C

By doing the any one of these short term courses you may get the software jobs in IT companies. But don't be in a hurry by going for more that one courses because if you mention too many courses in your CV then you will most likely get more questionings during interview. This could again invite more trouble for you.

There are many more such kind of job opportunities. However I have provided the best paying and reputed jobs available in our country for an Engineering(EEE) candidate.Every jack and Jill wont get these kind of jobs with ease.Sincere hard work and patience is the key to success.I hope you would be benefited by this post.Anyways best of luck for a bright future.

    Regards

its better for you do M.TECH in any IITs through GATE if job is not necessary now. Else,
    >> If you are interested in IT jobs- For TCS - just read C,C++ conceptually and any 2 selective branch papers for PI and for written just go through the previuos years questions ..you will easily crack it.
Others it company's are INFOSYS, CAPGEMINI,IBM,HWAWEI,ADP,SYNTEL.MAHINDRA SATYAM, HEXAWARE,AMI etc..
    >>For govt jobs just apply GATE for psu's like NTPC,BHEL,ISRO,IOCL ETC.

well if you want to get a job in the software companies then you need to make yourself strong in the programming languages like asp.net,php,my sql, oracle etc.all the software companies work on softwares and they demand for them who know programming languages properly as every of them work with software and software are related with programming languages,so you should make yourself strong in the programming language.
yes you can try for jobs in the pre final year of your engineering course but those situations are very less you can only try for navy, air force and army in your pre final year and in the final year of your course, but in most of the places you need to complete your degree to get a job in any sector.

Re: Job opportunities for B.Tech in 3rd year EEE with an aggregate of 81%?

    Hello Dear Friend ...

There are no opportunities while studying third year

So you must wait for one more year

While you are in 4th year you will be getting opportunities ...

    You can apply for

    GENCO

    TRANSCO

    POWER GRID CORPORATION

    GAIL

    SAIL

    HAL

    AIR PORT AUTHORITY OF INDIA....etc.,

    GOOD LUCK

Re: Job opportunities for B.Tech in 3rd year EEE with an aggregate of 81%?

    hi,
presently iam in prefinal year in eee branch, i have an aggregate percentage of 77%.i want to still improve my basics so that i can get good job after my btech.certain times iam feeling hardship to respond even a question from the previous sem in my class though i got good score in that subject.my problem is presently i have a feeling that i lack my confidence even on the before passed out subjects. iam struggling with this attitude, one of my lecturer said to join in gate coaching which gives u a enthusiastic confidence in u as u learn the repeated sylabus. i want to take a second opinion from u,is there any other idea or i have to go for gate coaching.please inform me as soon as possible
