In public sector-Many well reputed public sector companies recruit ECE engineers both diploma and Btech.

IES-> Indian Engineering Services. Toughest and most conceptual exam for electronics engineers. You need to build your concepts really well to pass this exam. Once passed, you'll be an employee of Central Government and you'll get the similar rank of post like IAS.You'll get more detail on upsc.gov.in

IT/Software companies-> Many IT companies conduct college campus placement or offcampus placement in which engineers from any branch can apply. In last few years, engineers from ECE branch have been selected in same numbers as from CS/iT branch. For this you need to post your resume on Monster or Naukri.com site if your B.Tech is complete or if you are in final semester so that IT comapnies can call you for interview.

Next option is GATE-> If you want to continue with higher studies and you should appear for GATE and after commpleting M.Tech , many electronics companies like Intel, LG, SAMSUNG recruit electronics engineers at a very good salary.
