    hai friends ,

Information Technology has been adopted widely and the government of Maharashtra has taken a number of e governance initiatives to improve the day-to-day functioning, some of which are mentioned below:

SARITA: Award-winning computerisation of the complete process of property document registration

SEAS: Fast MIS for revenue collection from excise duty

The government has allocated a whopping Rs100 crore for the textile sector recognising its potential in employment generation. The government is all set to announce its textile policy that is expected to give boost to the small and medium-sized enterprises in the sector.
Finance minister and deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar said that the industry is the second largest after tourism when it comes to employment generation and the state produces 20% of the total production of cotton in the country. “We want to arrest the cotton processing industry from going to other state and hence the provision of Rs100 crore has been made,” he said.
Taking a cue from the exodus of the industrial project to some neighboring states, the government has proposes an outlay of Rs400 crore towards the incentives and subsidies for mega projects. In his budget speech, the finance minister said that mega project policy has gained substantial success in last six years and the government wants to continue attracting huge investments in the sector in the future too.
“The allocation will help us provide the incentives to the small, medium and large scale enterprises in the state,” he added.
Meanwhile, the government also gave a big boost to the tourism sector with the development, upkeep of forts getting an allocation of more than Rs25 crore. This includes conservation and restoration of Shivneri, Sinhagad, Pratapgad and Raigad forts.
These heritage structures will have audio visual shows, guidance centers that would have information about the great Maratha warrior Shivaji. The allocation also has plans of restoration of the forts at Sindhudurg and Vijaydurg.
It also has proposed an outlay of Rs85 crore for the special action plan for the development of pilgrim centres like Shreekshetra Dehu, Alandi, Pandharpur, Palkhital, Rs55 crore for Shree Gajanan Maharaj and Rs25 crore for Shreekshetra Mojhari. Mahalaxmi temple at Kolhapur also has got Rs10 crore for development work.
To promote tourism spots in the state Rs25 crore has been marked and this amount will be handed over to the nodal agency Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation.
A floating jetty at Gateway of India has also been planned and Rs5 crore has been allocated for the same. The jetty expected to facilitate smooth entry and exit of the boats ferrying between Elephanta, Mandwan JNPT. It also has decided to spend a large amount on beach safety of the Konkan coast.
