    Hello

YES KARNATAKA STATE OPEN UNIVERSITY COURSES IS APPROVED FOR GOVERNMENT AND NON GOVERNMENT PURPOSES.

Any degree is valid and has importance if the university from which the degree has been issued is valid.By validity of a degree, one means that the university is recognized by UGC(University Grants Commission),KSOU is well recognized by UGC and the degree that is offered by KSOU is valid for both government and private firms.

Along with that it is mandatory for a distance university to have the recognition of DEC(Distance Education Council).KSOU is a distance university, and it has the approval of DEC also.

You can visit the websites of UGC,you will find the name of KSOU among vakid and recognized universities.
