    Re: Less than 60% marks in B.tech, can I get any job?

    Hello dude!

    It is impossible to get a job with a percentage less than 60% because all the companies require at least 60% of marks in your graduation.But still you can try for job by learning courses like C,C++,JAVA and ORACLE.After the completion of certification courses then you can prepare the best resume then you can apply for the software companies.There are many software companies like:
    * INFOSYS,
    * TCS,
    * IBM,
    * HCL,
    * MICROSOFT,
    * ACCENTURE,
    * SYNTEL,
    * MPHASIS etc.

    so refer the websites and newspapers for the notifications and apply for the companies and attend the selection process which consists of three stages.
    1. Written test.
    2. Technical interview.
    3. HR interview.

    You must be very perfect with the core subjects and must be very fluent in English and only then you can crack the Selection process.

    HOPE THE INFORMATION HELPED YOU AND ALL THE BEST

    Re: Less than 60% marks in B.tech, can I get any job?

    Dear candidate
    Your percentage is quite low for working in the software companies because the software companies will require atleast 60% in B.tech degree as well as in 12th and 10th level. You have obtained good marks in 10th and 12th but unbale to score 60% marks in bachelor degree and due to this you are not eligible to apply for job in IT organisation such as TCS,IBM and other top companies. I suggest you to complete some certificate course such as oracle, java, programming languages like c,c++,html etc. after completion of thsi certificates you may apply for job in some IT companies.

    Apart from IT companies you may apply for job in hovernment sector jobs. Their are various jobs available in government sector and you are eligible to apply for them with this percentage. You may try to get into banking sector and other government companies. following are the examination/examination in which you may apply for job::

    IBPS CWE P.O/CLERK/SPECIALIST OFFICER

    UPSC IAS/IPS

    SSC Graduate level/HSC level

    LIC

    RBI

    RRB

    FOOD CORPORATION OF INDIA

    OICL (ORIENTAL CORPORATION VRIVATE LIMITED)

    etc...

    Hello Dear

    This is Saurav from Bhubaneswar. Well looking at your matter it seems that you were a very good student until you have stepped into the engineering collage. To be honest 58% ,that too in computer science field is indeed very shameful.What would have been your consequences if you had taken Mechanical or Electrical.Anyways I should not be criticizing you like this.Sorry for that.

    Forget whatever has happened.Now try to shift your gears and start preparing for the worst.The hopes should stay alive for achieving the best.Sometime frustration may get the better of you.But you have be strong internally.See things are not going to be that easy but yeah it not impossible either.

    Well now coming to your topic. Since you belong to CS group. You don't have any opportunities in core sectors. Sometimes core sectors or the private sector organizations do require CS graduates but then again 60% B.tech is a must.So forget about that.

    Now you even wont be able to join any software giants like Infosys , Mahendra - Satyam ,Wipro ,Accenture ,TCS, CSC,HCL , Genpact , IBM ,Microsoft ,Syntell , Mindtree , L&T infotech ,Tech mahendra ,Torry Harris ,I gate patni solutions etc. because of the only reason that you don't have 60% throughout academic.

    The only option left for you is to search for those organizations which doesn't have any percentage bar.Finding these kind of organizations would be a difficult task though but yeah if you have any of your cousins,brothers or sisters or even friends working in some organization then you may ask for an employee reference from them.Also there are few organizations( not MNC though) probably a small low profile software companies which provides enough opportunities to non career students.You have to read daily newspaper and do a lot of research work in some job portals.Also you may have to register in certain genuine job consultancies for a better response. But keep fighting. Many people have succeeded in their life despite of being non career.I am sure you will also get a good job. If you are planning to start your career in software industry then Benglure,Hyderabad are few IT hubs or Hitech cities available.I am sure most of your friends would also be planning to shift there.

    Now I would be providing you important details regarding Banking jobs.Well you would be wondering how can a CS graduate could get a job in Banking industry. Yes the trend has really changed in the recent years.Now a days more number of youths are getting attracted towards banking sector because the banking jobs are very much prestigious, less painful and tensional.Moreover the perks and emoluments after salary is really mouth watering.To your surprise, there is no 60% criteria kind of a rule for entry level position in banking industry.So start preparing for Probationary Officer , Clerical Cadre, Administrative Officer,Office Assistants,Assistant Manager ,Technical Officer , Specialist Officer kind of posts.

    To know more on banking jobs go the website of IBPS.Well let me tell you IBPS is individual body responsible for conducting a wide spectrum of activities in personnel selection both for promotion within and recruitment and selection from outside the organization. Today, IBPS has become a body providing integrated end to end solutions for human resource management of Banking organizations.The following link will provide all the details of IBPS and current job related exams.

    LINK - http://ibps.in/index.htm

    I hope my information would definitely help you in redefining a better future.Anyways Best of luck for a wonderful and dream job.Sorry if my words are little pinching.But I really care for you.

    Regards Saurav

    Re: Less than 60% marks in B.tech, can I get any job?

    Hi Guest,

    You have percentage less than 60% and many of the IT companies look for above 60%, it is tough to find a job in IT sector with this percentage. I suggest you to improve your technical skills like learning programming languages like C Language, JAVA, ORACLE and other programming languages.

    With these skills you can get a chance to get into the following companies

    In private sector the jobs are available in IT sector.

    List of IT Companies in India:

    Accenture

    ACS

    CA Technologies

    CTS

    Dell

    HCL Technologies

    Hitachi

    IBM

    Infosys

    Infotech

    Mahindra Satyam

    Microsoft

    Oracle

    Tech Mahindra

    Wipro

    TCS

    Genpact

    Essar

    Any many more IT companies…

    Few government companies ask for a percentage above 55% and you are eligible for that, so apply for the jobs where you are eligible for the qualifications.

    In this way you can apply for any of the field which is eligible for you.

    I suggest you to go through the notifications regularly and apply for the jobs.

    Thank you,

    All the best.

    Hi Friend,

    Now a days the top companies like microsoft , yahoo , facebook , google , tcs , hcl , infosys , etc are taking the students who scored more than 60% in there B TECH course from any good university.
    But if u you are good at basic computer courses like java , oracle , turbo c then there might be a chance to get job in those companies.

    Although the companies like wipro and satyam are recruiting the students who got even 45% or above because my friend who got 47% in B TECH CSE program was offered 3 lakh per annum from our
    local college.

    So please keep visiting the job melas which takes place and in your city and read newspapers daily and keep trying for good job.
    Be fluent at speaking English without any errors.

    Hope you will get a good job and the information above helped you.

    Here are some of the courses that you can do in order to easiily get a job. .

    Java courses such as OCJP(SCJP)
    Oracle developer course
    Oracle administrator course(DBA course)

    These three courses are in great requirement these days in IT companies and there are 2 options

    1.Either join a centre where you study the complete course for 3-4 months and then write the exam
    or
    2.Study it online rigorously for around 2 months and search in for a PROMETRIC center and write the certification exam

    Hope the info was useful

    Re: Less than 60% marks in B.tech, can I get any job?

    Dear,

    For IT jobs there are many online sites like elitmus, which provide practice test papers for IT jobs and also informs about any walk ins or Off campus Job drives.

    As you belong to CS branch, so you should not worry about job. There are many IT companies which recruit with eligibility marks of only 55% in BTech.

    You should start the preparation by downloading question papers of different IT companies from the site freshersworld.com and should practice as
    per the current recruitment procedures followed by IT companies.

    IT job examination Pattern: IT companies take examination which consists of following sections:
    - Technical Round(Programming Based questions)
    - Aptitude+Reasoning( Written exam to check your reasoning)
    - HR Round(To check your communication skills)
    As you have completed BTech, you should try to build the concepts of OOPS and RDBMS. It would be better if you can join any Java Certification
    Or Oracle certification course which will boost your confidence as well give an edge in the interview.
    For reasoning or quant questions, practice from the books by R S Aggarwal is enough to clear.
    IT companies give good weightage to Communication Skill, and you should work on your communication skill to get selected in the HR Round.

    Some of the IT companies which recruit engineers for S/W jobs are:
    - CTS
    - Wipro
    - Accenture
    - IBM
    - Birla Soft
    - iGatePatni
    - TechMahindra

    hey basker, I was worried like you in btech thinking about what should I do if i have percentage less than 60%. But by god's grace i just crossed it. My suggestions for you is
    Since you are from ECE (dont listen to any other guy- because i have faced the situation)
    1. If you think, you are good enough Start preparation for IES. ( very tough, but if you too gud in math, u can crack it= you knew about ur skills,talents)
    2. Prepare for IAS -
    3.Prepare for Cat, - Give CAT,MAT, and any other exams and do JOIN any COllege into an MBA program. From there you can get some job, after getting job- dnt relax, practise aptitude and start giving BANk exmas (probabitionary officer posts only). I hope this option should work , as it is bit easier than the above two options.)
    4. If the above option doesnot work out, Dont worry. Just live your life as it the last day.
    Rember always be happy.:)

    Re: Less than 60% marks in B.tech, can I get any job?

    well listen,the fact is that every b.tech student who is studying engineering think of getting job in top IT companies,and there is nothing wrong in it,the top IT companies demands minimum of 60% through out your academic career,and also that in the government jobs minimum 60% is necessary,that's why it has become a common concept that if you don't get 60% minimum then you will not get any job,well how is that possible well it is true that you have less percentage but still you are a engineer and there is always for a engineer,it might be difficult for you to get a job as compared to how easily your friends are getting jobs because they have 60%.Let me tell you there is never a end,so the solution is
    1)the minimum 60% demand of the top IT companies is for a fresher,that is for them who do not have any experience,but the statics is not the same for experienced man,try to find a job in some small IT companies which will not give you a perfect salary but after working for few months you will become a experienced man,and then again try for jobs in top IT companies,your experience will always be counted
    2)in the navy ,air force and army there are many rank or post where the minimum percentage require is 55% or they don't have any minimum percentage concept,so you can try there,by visiting their official site you will get every necessary information about them.
    3)if you can go for higher studies then this will be always a good decision,you will become a post graduate a master,and a master is always better than bachelor.

    sorry friend you are not eligible for get a software engg. job because your percentage quite low.
    for getting a job in software company you must have graduate degree from a recognized university in CSE or IT stream with atleast 60% marks.
    But your percentage is low so you are not eligible for this.

    but you can still work in software company by learning programming languages like:
    C, C++, C#, JAVA, .NET, ORACLE etc.
    and submit your resume in software company like:
    INFOSYS, TCS, IBM, HCL, Wipro, Accenture

    dear friend you can also look a job in following departmants:
    BSNL, TATA, IBPS P.O/CLERK/SPECIALIST OFFICER, UPSC IAS/IPS
    SSC Graduate level/HSC level, LIC, RBI, RRB, FOOD CORPORATION OF INDIA etc...

    for more detail plz read employement news.
    good luck friend...

    Hai friend,,

    To get a good job in IT sector you should have at least 60% (average of all semesters) in b.tech
    Not only in b.tech,in 10,10+2 you should have minimum 60% for the eligibility of MNCs job.

    So try to score good marks in your 4 year .

    Join courses on subjects like

    C
    C++
    Java
    .Net
    Oracle

    It is better to do above courses with certification.where some companies give preferences to certified candidates

    In the 4 th year you need to do the project.Do the project efficiently because Project is important for for IT jobs.

    From last semester onwards you can apply jobs.So register on various websites for getting walkins information.

    All the best

    All those who got less than 60% in graduation or at any stage of their career need not be depressed, ... doors of opportunity are never closed if you're willing to work hard, ... there are many exams for prestigious jobs which do not lay any criteria like 60% or anything like that, ... these are Civil Service Exam, Engineering Service Exam, Forest Service Exam, Public Sector Banks Exam, State Civil Service Exams, Central Police Service Exam, SSC, etc. There are many people who got less than 60% in their graduation, despite that they succeeded in these exams, ... there are many, ... believe it.

    Friend,

    Based on your academic record, I can say that you can score atleast 60% aggregate marks in B Tech and for this
    you just need to keep putting in the effort.
    So just concentrate to score as many marks as you can.

    In case you couldn’t make up aggregate of 60%, you should not lose heart. There are lots of other opportunities in different sectors.

    There are many IT companies as well where you can get the job if your percentage is
    above 55%.

    One suggestion for you will be that start working hard to score maximum marks and start the
    Preparation for GATE exam. Through GATE exam, you can get admission in MTech which will give
    a stronger look to your profile and chances of getting good jobs will also increase.

    Moreover there are many PSU companies like BPCL, HPCL, IOCL which are recruiting on the basis
    GATE score card, so you’ll have chances ofgetting jobs in these companies with good score.

    Thank you..

    Re: Less than 60% marks in B.tech, can I get any job?

    Your own fraction is reasonably very low with regard to performing while in the software program companies as the software program companies need atleast 60% within B.tech level plus 12th and tenth level. You've got received very good markings within tenth and 12th but unbale to score 60% markings within bachelors level and due to this you aren't eligible to get work within IT organisation including TCS,IBM as well as other best companies. Make sure you to try and do many certificates program including oracle, java, coding dialects including chemical,c++,html etc. following finishing of thsi certificates you could submit an application for work in many IT companies.

    Besides IT companies you could submit an application for work within hovernment area jobs. Their are usually numerous work opportunities easily obtainable in federal area and you're eligible to get all of them with this specific percentage. You may try out to get involved with consumer banking area as well as other federal companies. right after are classified as the examination/examination within which you may submit an application for job.

    Very well hunting for your issue it appears that you're a very good university student till you have stepped into the actual design collage. To be honest 58% ,the exact same thing within personal computer science field is indeed really shameful.What could have been your own implications if you had utilized Hardware or maybe Electrical.Anyways I actually ought not to be demeaning you prefer this.Sorry with regard to that.

    Neglect anything has got happened.Now aim to move your own equipment and begin get yourself ready for the actual worst.The dreams ought to stay well with regard to experienceing this best.Sometime irritation could have the far better of you.But you have always be formidable internally.See everything is not going to be with such ease but yeah this not impossible either.

    Well now coming to your own topic. Because you participate in CS group. You have zero programs within primary sectors. Often primary areas or maybe the non-public area businesses do require CS manages to graduate although 60% B.tech is really a must.So forget about that.

    Right now you probably won't manage to join any kind of software program titans including Infosys , Mahendra - Satyam ,Wipro ,Accenture ,TCS, CSC,HCL , Genpact , IBM ,Microsoft ,Syntell , Mindtree , L&Big t infotech ,Technological mahendra ,Torry Harris ,I actually gates patni answers etc. because the solely reason you don't have got 60% in the course of academic.

    Your best option eventually left for you is to search for these businesses which does not have got fraction bar.Finding these types of businesses is a hard task though but yeah in case you have any counterparts,siblings or maybe sisters or simply associates performing in many organization then you might want a member of staff guide from them.Also harm organizations( certainly not MNC though) possibly a smallish very low profile software program companies that provides enough possibilities to not profession students.You should read each day paper and do a lot of study deliver the results in many work portals.Also you may have to register in certain reputable work consultancies for the far better response. Nevertheless keep fighting. Numerous everyone has became popular in life in spite of being not career.I am certain you'll obtain a good job. When you plan to begin your job within software program industry subsequently Benglure,Hyderabad are usually couple of IT sites or maybe Hitech urban centers available.I am certain positioned on associates could be also likely to move there.
