    Hai...Hello,

Yes you are eligible for the govt jobs which allow the candidates from open university.
Since your univesity is UGC and DEC recognized and also the course is approved from AICTE.
But for the posts for which the full time post graduation will be askedthere you will
    not be eligible.
So if you are planning to to M.Tech then i would suggest you that you do it full time
    than through distance learning.
Yes for private sector it is useful for promotions

    with regards ,
    Siva

No need to WORRY about your University

KSOU(Karnataka state Open University) is recognized University. So you can absolutely apply for any government jobs.

You can apply for following sector of government jobs

    1)Bank jobs
    2)Railway jobs
    3)Civil service exam(For IAS,IPS,IFS services)

    etc

You can also apply jobs in following companies with your B.tech qualification:-

    BHEL
    BSNL
    ONGC
    ISRO
    DRDO

Karnataka State Open University comes under UGC / DEC / ACU / AAO / COA but it is not recognized by the AICTE, which means after completion of any course from this university a candidate must be eligible for applying to only Administrative posts in Central / State Govt.. departments but not Technical Post.

This university does not provide any technical course like Graduation in Engineering / Technology.

For applying to the Technical posts in the Govt. sector a candidate has to passed out Gradaution in Engineering from a university which comes under UGC and AICTE.

    GOOD LUCK..
