Grades in the realm of education are standardized measurements of varying levels of comprehension within a subject area. Grades can be assigned in letters as a range , as a number out of a possible total (for example out of 20 or 100), as descriptors (excellent, great, satisfactory, needs improvement), in percentages, or, as is common in some post-secondary institutions in some countries, as a Grade Point Average (GPA). GPA is calculated by taking the number of grade points a student earned in a given period of time divided by the total number of credits taken.
The GPA can be used by potential employers or further post-secondary institutions to assess and compare applicants. A Cumulative Grade Point Average is a calculation of the average of all of a student's grades for all semesters and courses completed up to a given academic term,
whereas the GPA may only refer to one term.

    Dear Guest,

No, it is not the final year percentage in graduation, it is the total agreegate percentage of the THREE Years course i.e.

    Marks obtained in (1st year+2nd year+3rd year)/ 3

    I hope you understand now.

    Hello dude!

AGGREGATE means it is the average of all the three years of your degree that is the average of all the semesters,in b.tech it is the aggregate of all the 4 years.

So it is not only the final year's percentage,it is the average of all the year exams. If you have 6 semesters then add the total marks you achieved in all the 6 semesters divided by the total subject marks.

This is how you need to calculate the aggregate marks in degree.

HOPE THE INFORMATION HELPED YOU AND ALL THE BEST.

    Hello

The total percentage means the percentage of all the exams that you have given. It is simple and straight, you studied in first year, second year and now in third year, your degree is because you have passed all the subjects from first to last year, then your percentage means the number you scored in all the exams.

The total percentage will be of the marks that you scored in all three years, not the final year.As you studied in all three years, then your percentage should be of that only and only the final year.

Meaning of percentage is the aggregate percentage in all the years of graduation. It is not just the final year or final semester marks. It is your graduation marks i.e. the average of all 3years percentage. So your percentage will be 55% as you mentioned. You may face questions in interview regarding your marks in final year but as far as eligibility is concerned, you are eligible for any exam or interview which requires marks above 55%

    Dear friend
percentage means aggregate percentage of all the three years of graduation. It means all the marks that you in scored in first, second and third years are combined and taken as a aggregate percentage but not a final year marks. For example

    percentage=(first+second+third)/3

so your percentage depends on whole three years which was considered by any company or organisation while you are applying for any of the jobs. And you said that you had 55% it is not a very good percentage.

    All The Best

    • If in any notification, if it's said that required percentage marks in graduation, then it will be aggregate marks in the graduation.
    • Alone final year marks is not considered here, so all the years marks are considered in totality.
    • So if any examination requires more than 55% marks then you are eligibile to apply for it.
    • Certain notifications does not state any percentage marks, it means that mere passing marks also makes you eligibile.
