what is the minimum aggregate required for applying group 1 n group 2 exams ? Does SI post is also included in these groups ? If so how much aggregate is needed to apply ? please mention aggregate from 10th clearly .

must be graduate from good university and final year student may also apply for this and this is minimum requirement for both group1 and group 2exam ..

no SI post is not included .it sub inspector exam is there..you apply the SI exam....

GROUPS EXAM is conducted by the central govt. . groups are sub divide in to group -I , II , III , IV.


-->Group I --In group I candidate can apply for the following post - assistant Engineer,deputy superintendent of police.
Candidate should have any Degree from Universities and Candidate Minimum Age should be 21 years and maximum Age should be 35 years for SC, ST, MBC.



--> Group II -In group II candidate can apply for the following post- junior engineer,representative .
candidate should have any Master’s Degree or a Bachelors Degree from Universities.
Candidate Minimum Age should be 21 years and maximum Age should be 35 years for SC, ST,

For Group I post the minimum age of the applicant should be 21 years and the maximum age is 30 yrs. There is relaxation in upper age limit only for the reserved categories of SC/ST & OBC as per the prevailing govt. rules/instructions. The minimum qualification required is graduation in any stream from any recognized university.
For Group II posts also the minimum age is 21 years. yes, the post opf Sub Inspector is also included. Generally there is no cut off percentage fixed. Generally the written exam is the mode of selection.

The upper age limit prescribed above will be relaxable:

(i) maximum of 5years to a Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe.

TNPSC Group I Services Exam

Deputy Superintendent of Police (Category-1)

Education Qualification:--

Degree or Diploma in Criminology and Forensic Science and also who possess National Award for Physical efficiency.

Physical Qualification (For Deputy Superintendent of Police)

• For Men : Must have 165 cms Height and not less than 86 cms around the chest on full inspiration and must have a chest expansion of not less than 5 cms on full inspiration.
• For Women : Must have 155 cms Height.
