    hi sir i have completed my be in mechanical .can you pls tell me what is the procedure to get job in indian railways

    Hi

    there are two ways to go for indian railway-

    1) you need to appear in the entrance exam like -- SSC railway
    UPSC
    RRB exam
    2) another way to join railway - certain post comes in market you need to purchase the form and fill it and send it on the official address.There are many posts in indian railway like

    Railway Traffic Service,

    Indian Railways Accounts Service,

    Indian Railway Service of Engineers ,

    Indian Railway Service of Electrical Engineers ,

    Indian Railway Services of Signal Engineers,

    Indian Railway Store Service

    Elgibillity-- for joining the Indian Railway

    For being eligible for the RRB and UPSC exams, you should be:
    1. Citizen of India.
    2. A graduate from recognized university with 60% marks in aggregate.
    3. Age should be within 21 years to 30 years.

    INDIAN RAILWAYS is the largest employer in india.Variety of jobs are up for grant every year with railways.
    Different jobs in railways requires different educational qualifications.
    But after an engineering degree in any mechanical stream you are eligible for almost all the railways jobs.


    If you want to work as the mechanical engineer in railways then the following jobs are meant for you:

    >> Executive Engineers
    >> Assistant Executive Engineers
    >> Superintendent Engineer
    >> Assistant Mechanical Engineer
    >> executive trainee
    >> senior section engineer

    you can get the above mentioned jobs by giving the following two exams:


    RRB exam (railway recruitment board)
    UPSC (union public service commision)

    RRB exam is conducted by railways boards of the various divisions of indian railways.
    UPSC exam are conducted by the upsc .IT is a national level exam .


    Generally the requirements for both the exams are same with a little variations here and there.

    For the various posts mentioned above following are the necessary requirements:


    >>a bachelors degree in any engineering stream.
    >>age should be between 20 to 35 years of age.
    >>age relaxation i s there for the reserved categories.

    Both exams are divided into two stages:

    written exam

    interview
    written exam consists of the following topics:
    General Arithmetic
    Analytical and Quantitative Skills
    General Awareness and
    Language General Hindi/General English.

    For the mechnical engineer students under the railways department you can apply for the job post under the technical field through the RRB entrance exam which has been conducted by the railways department

    some posts under the technical field in which you can apply :

    1 . Indian Railways service of mechanical engineer
    2 . Indian Railway Traffic Service Group A (IRTS)
    3. Indian Railway Accounts Service Group A (IRAS)
    4, Indian Railway Personnel Service Group A (IRPS)
    5. Indian Railway Protection Force Group A (IRPF)
    6. Railway Board Secretariat Service Group B

    so these are some posts in which you can apply...for these technical job post you need to be write the entrance exam and do it best preparation for qualify the entrance exam
