    2. Physical Electronics, Electron Devices and ICs:
    Electrons and holes in semiconductors, Carrier Statistics, Mechanism of current flow in a semiconductor, Hall effect; Junction theory; Different types of diodes and their characteristics; Bipolar Junction transistor; Field effect transistors; Power switching devices like SCRs, GTOs, power MOSFETS; Basics of ICs - bipolar, MOS and CMOS types; basic of Opto Electronics.

    3. Signals and Systems
    Classification of signals and systems: System modelling in terms of differential and difference equations; State variable representation; Fourier series; Fourier transforms and their application to system analysis; Laplace transforms and their application to system analysis; Convolution and superposition integrals and their applications; Z-transforms and their applications to the analysis and characterisation of discrete time systems; Random signals and probability, Correlation functions; Spectral density; Response of linear system to random inputs.

    6. Electronic Measurements and instrumentation
    Basic concepts, standards and error analysis; Measurements of basic electrical quantities and parameters; Electronic measuring instruments and their principles of working : analog and digital, comparison, characteristics, application. Transducers; Electronic measurements of non electrical quantities like temperature, pressure, humidity etc; basics of telemetry for industrial use.

    6. Computer Engineering :

Microprocessors : Architecture and instruction set of Microprocessors 8085 and 8086, Assembly language Programming. Microprocessor Based system design : typical examples. Personal computers and their typical uses.

    Hi,

    1. Structure of the exam:
    It contains 5 papers (3 objective papers of 2 hours duration each + 2 descriptive papers of 3 hours duration each), out of which one objective paper with General Studies, 2more objective papers with Engineering and 2 descriptive papers with Engineering.
    a. First day: General Studies + General English complete objective paper, for 200 marks
    b. Second day: Paper I for 200 marks and Paper II for 200 marks of Objective type technical.
    c. Third day: Paper I for 200 marks and Paper II for 200 marks of Descriptive type.
    d. Personal Interview round contains another 200 marks.
    e. So, total will be for 1000 marks for written and 200 marks for Personal Interview.

    About Interview:
    1. The interview panel generally keeps you comfortable and more liberal. They expect you to be strong in your present area. You be strong in basic concepts, Current affairs like Terrorism, Recession/what is HOT at present, About railways.
    2. First they start with few HR questions like tell me about yourself/current hot topics and after that, they start technical part (Mostly of Basics).
    3. Interview panel contains 5 members (4+1) 4 tech persons and 1 Panel Head. Continue your explanation till you ask you to stop. Answer Boldly. Maintain good Communication. They may give some white sheets and may ask you to write/draw/explain something.
    4. All over Interview will be around 85% technical and 15% non technical.

    This is conducted by Union Public Service Commission every year in the month of August.The advertisement is normally released in February.
    This exam is conducted for recruitment of around 500-600 posts in department of central govt.
    Category 1- Civil Engg.
    Category 2- Mechanical Engg
    Category 3- Electrical Engg.
    Category 4-Electronics and telecomm. Engg.
    Eligibility:-
    1.must be a citizen of India or a subject of Nepal or a subject of Bhutan or a Tibetan.
    2.must have attained the age of 20 years and must not have attained the age of 28 yrs as on 1st Aug.
    3.must have obtained a degree in Engg.from a university incorporated by an Act of the Central or State legislature in India.

    Indian Engineering Service (IES) exam is conducted by UPSC every year to take skilled engineering students for different department in government posts.
    Eligibility criteria for IES exam:
    Education qualification:
    Candidate should complete graduation degree in engineering with either Mechanical/Electrical/Civil Engineering stream.
    Age limit:
    Age should be between 21 to 30 years.

    IES exam notification for 2012th year:
    Notification release from 25th Feb 2012 to 26th March 2012.
    And exam will held on 15th June 2012.

    General Ability(Objective)

    Part A: General English. The question paper in General English will be designed to test the candidate’s understanding of English and workmanlike use of words.

    Part B: General Studies: The paper in General Studies will include knowledge of current events and of such matters as of everyday observation and experience in their scientific aspects as may be expected of an educated person.     "Indian Engineering Services Exam (ESE)"

    Engineering Services Exam (ESE) is combined competitive examination conducted by the UPSC. Based on the results of this examination allocation will be made to several Group ‘A’ Services or posts under the following categories :
    1)Civil Engineering
    2) Mechanical Engineering
    3) Electrical Engineering
    4) Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering.

    Nationality:

    A candidate must be either :
    (a) A citizen of India or
    (b) A subject of Nepal or A subject of Bhutan or
    (c) A Tibetan refugee who came over to Indian before the 1st January, 1962 with the intention of
    permanently settling in India, or
    (d) A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka or East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia or from Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c) and (d) above shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

    Age limit:

    (a) A candidate for this examination must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on the 1st August, of the current year.
    (b) The upper age-limit of 30 years will be relax able up to 35 years in the case of Government servants of the following categories, if they are employed in a Department/Office under the control of any of the authorities mentioned in column 1 below and apply for admission to the examination for all or any of the Service(s)/Posts mentioned in column 2, for which they are otherwise eligible.
    ----A candidate who holds substantively a permanent post in the particular Department/ Office concerned. This relaxation will not be admissible to a probationer appointed against a permanent post in the Department/Office during the period of his probation.
    (c) The upper age-limit prescribed above will be further relaxable :
    ----Upto a maximum of five years if a candidate belongs to a scheduled caste or a scheduled
    tribe.

    of assignment of five years of Military Services as on 1st August, and whose assignment has been extended beyond five years and in whose case the Ministry of Defense issues a certificate that they can apply for civil employment and they will be released on three months notice on selection from the date of receipt of offer of appointment.
    ----Upto a maximum of 10 years in the case of blind, deaf-mute and Orthopaedically handicapped persons.

    Minimum Educational Qualifications:
    (a) Obtained a Degree in Engineering from a university incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as universities under section-3 of the university grants commission act, 1956; or
    (b) Passed Section A and B of the Institution Examinations of the Institution of Engineers (India); or
    (c) Obtained a Degree/Diploma in Engineering from such foreign University/College/Institution and under such conditions as may be recognised by the Government for the purpose from time to time, or
    (d) Passed Graduate Membership Examination of the Institute of Electronics and
    Telecommunication Engineers (India); or
    (e) Passed Associate Membership Examination Parts II and III/Sections A and B of the Aeronautical Society of India; or
    (f) Passed Graduate Membership Examination of the Institution of Electronics and Radio Engineers, London held after November, 1959. Provided that a candidate for the post of Indian Naval Armament Service (Electronics
    Engineering Posts and Engineer Group ‘A’ in Wireless Planning and Coordination Wing/ Monitoring Organisation) may possess any of the above qualifications or the qualification mentioned below namely: M.Sc. degree or its equivalent with Wireless Communication, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as a special subject.

    Indian engineering services that meet technical of government of india.EXAM is conducted by UPSC in the month of june every year .
    The branches are civil engg, mechanical engg, electrical, electronics n telecommunication engineerin.
    You should be a citizen of india, age should above 21 or below 30, qualification you must have the engg degree from recognized university.

    exams consists five papers including 3 objectif and 2 descriptive. And after clearing objective you wil get call for Interview.

    you must have Engineer degree with any stream.
    you must be Indian .
    a subject of Nepal
    a subject of Bhutan

    IES(Indian Engineering Services) is conducted one time by CIVIL Services in the every year.It has three wings they are Prelims and Mains and Interview it is not an easy exam it is quite difficult exam.B.Tech/B.E graduate candidates are only eligible for applying IES exam.If you qualify in the prelims then you can go for mains.If you also qualify in the mains then you go for direct Interview.Prelims is a objective type exam and mains is a subjective type exam.It is a prestigious job in India.

    Must completed Graduation(B.Tech/B.E) with 60%

    Age Limit:

    ............>and do not exceeds 33 years for OBC Candidates
