This is Saurav from Bhubaneswar. Nice to be interacting with someone from computer science stream. Well this EIL MT exam is not gonna be that difficult if you make a proper planning and prepare accordingly. Now a days govt sector and PSUs are becoming a first choice for many youths because of job security and better perks and emoluments.Moreover there is less work pressure and less deadline oriented job.So all in whole it makes these kind of jobs really mouth watering.

Anyways lets come to the topic.First of all I would like to say few important things regarding this exam.The selection procedure is very simple.First there will be written test.Candidates clearing this test successfully would be given an interview call basing upon their score in written test in the ratio of 1:3 or 1:5 against the number of vacancies. Going with the series of hell lot of permutations and combinations they will finally offer joining letters to meritorious candidates .


Now let me discuss something regarding the syllabus and exam procedure.The written exam will comprise of 150 MCQ (multiple choice questions). There would be 100 question purely based on the technical subjects and the remaining 50 question would be based on the aptitude and logical reasoning.As far as the syllabus is concerned there is no official announcement from EIL. So this has become a great concern for many aspirants so as what to prepare and what to leave.But no need to panic.You can do your preparation on your own style depending upon your own list of important subjects.But I would recommend you to follow GATE CS syllabus because this syllabus is an amalgamation of all the subjects that are important from technical competitive exams point of view.So this is really the most standard syllabus one may follow.
