the various govt exams like psc/ssc/upsc etc do give age relaxation to certain category candidates which includes the following:-

    Age:

for general candidates - not less than 21 years and more than 30 years

for Scheduled Caste /Scheduled Tribe candidates - The upper age limit will be relaxable by 5 years

for candidates of OBC - relaxable by 3 years

for widowed/divorced women/ women judicially separated from their husbands - the upper age limit is relaxable by 7-10 years.

for Ex-Servicemen(army only) - atleast 10 years relaxation to upper age limit

for J&K residents from the period of 1979 to 1988 - 10 years relaxation.
