Re: What are the Bank Entrance Exam and where it is Held?

    Hello friend,
Nowadays bank is one of most lucrative carrear for the youngster. Most of the graduates from different disciplines started posts like clerk and PO.

All PSU's hire the employees through common written exam by institute of bank personal selection. The bank like SBI and it's associate banks does not recruit candidate through CWE.

There are four types of exams conducted by IBPS:

    Clerical Cadre recruitment
    Probationary Officer (PO) posts
Specialist Officer posts (like IT Officer, Marketing Officer, HR, Agriculture etc)
Regional Rural Banks (for both assistant level and officer level)

Moreover, this year few major changes have been introduced in the clerical hiring process. Few of the changes are as follows:

Online test: IBPS will conduct its clerical test online for the first time this year unlike last year’s paper –pencil format. IBPS Clerical test will be India’s largest test to be conducted online.
Change in age criteria: Applicants in the age group of 20-28 years can apply for the test. Till previous year, the minimum age limit was 18 years.
Changes in the educational qualification: Applicants from this year need to have atleast graduate degree to sit for CWE Clerical exam. Until previous year, the minimum qualification was 10+2
Change in the exam format: Last year CWE Clerk had 250 questions, with 5 sections and 50 questions each:Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness, English, and Computer.

    • Bank Clerical Exam
    • Bank PO Exam - Bank Probationary Officers Exam
    • Bank CET - Common all India Entrance Test for Bank jobs (PO and Clerical)
    • G.I.C. Exam - G.I.C. Officer's Examination.
    THANK YOU!!!
