    dear candidate
if you want to get selected in the preliminary exam of civil service than you have to score atleast cutoff marks which is not pre-determind but will be set after examination. However the minimum marks for qualifying in the exam is 300 marks.

the preliminary exam consist of two papers of 400 marks. It means 200 marks for each paper. The first paper will be general awareness and second paper will be aptitude test. The candidates will be allowed to appear in the main examination only after sucessfully complition of preliminary examination.
