For admission in govt. medical colleges you have to pass one of the following exams after passing 10+2 exam :

    1) AIIMS exam for admission in AIIMS (ALL INDIA INSTITUTE FOR MEDICAL SCIENCES) in MBBS

    2) AIPMT (ALL INDIA PRE MEDICAL TEST) for entrance in MBBS course in different medical colleges all over India.

    3) State level PMT (PRE MEDICAL TEST) conducted by every state at their own for entrance in MBBS course.

50% of the seats in every GOVT. and private medical college is filled by AIPMT exam.

Rest 50% seats in Govt. colleges are filled by their own state's PMT and in private colleges rest 50% seats are filled by payment.

So if you are going through clearing medical test then there is no much load of fees whether you are in govt. or in private medical college.

However if you are going through payment seat then it is very expensive because of fee + donation which is usually in tens of lakhs.

Good to see you interest in Medical field.
Firstly you need to pass 12th with biology , physics and chemistry as a subject.
then for admission into medical colleges in India you need to crack the NEET exam which is conducted by the CBSE.
you can even appear for this exam while studying in 12th.
through this exam you can get admission into medical colleges throughout India ,as this is a national level exam.
one can get admission into the following courses through this exam.
    -MBBS
    -BDS
    -BAMS
    -BHMS
    -Unani

some medical colleges where you can seek admission through the NEET exam are-

    -AFMC
    -AIIMS
    -Burdwan Medical College
    -Calcutta National Medical College
-Dr. Shankar Rao Chavan Govt. Medical College
-Dr. Ulhas Patil Medical College and Hospital, Jalgaon,
-Government Medical College, Compound Near CST Mumbai
-Government Medical College, Near Residence Park Hotel, Surat Bypass

The fee structure of Government medical college through out India is 48,000 Rs per year.
The fess of AIMS is just 12,000 per year.
where as the fees of private medical colleges lies between 1.2 to 4 lacks per annum.
so the competition for admission into government medical college is very high.
