    What are the Eligibility Criteria and Exams need to be taken to become Lecturer in Government sector ?

    Hi,

    I am doing my MS ( Software Engineering). My aim is to become a lecturer in computer science field. Could you please let me know the eligibility and exams to be taken to become a lecturer.

    Dear friend,
    You can apply in engineering colleges in India if you are willing to work across any place in India...
    SLET in karnataka
    You can apply for colleges in National Capital Region if you're from North ... If south,there are good colleges like VIT,Institutes in Bangalore PESIT and mangalore Dakshina kannada ... top engineering colleges... it is your choice...

    if you are doing ms
    then that is a great advantage to you
    now a days there are very lack of good faculties in many of the reputated government colleges
    you can apply there
    or you can do phd in computer science so that you will get certainly in any govt clg

    for govt. sector u should have the minimum 5 to 8 year experince in this field:
    and for this jobs u may chek UPSC AND UPPSC websites regularly...

    the only one eligibility is master degree graduation in any stream.

    then you write national eligibility test or state eligibility test

    then you get a good post in good college

    If you are Interested to become Lecturer in Government colleges, then you must have to cracked the NET/SET Examination and If you will be able to cracked these examination then you will get Job as a lecturer in government colleges and Universities.

    >> NET Stands for National Eligiblity Test and this examination was conducted by UGC Twice in a year.

    >> SET Stands for State eligibility Test and this examination was Accredited by U.G.C and Conducted by University Of Pune As a state Agency.

    For Both these examination, you must have completed your Post graduation degree course and you must have scored minimum 55% marks in your Post graduation, Final year Post graduate candidates are also eligible to apply for NET/SET Examination.

    >> So, You are Already Pursuing your MS Course and If you are In your Final year Examination, then yes you are eligible for this examination, Because final year Master degree candidates are also apply for NET/SET Examination.

    NET Examination was Held in June and December Every year, June NET Examination was already completed and December NET Examination was Going to be held soon, the Notification of December NET Examination was Published soon in the Official website.

    The december NET Examination was Published soon in the Month of September 2011 and the examination was held in december, So please wait for the Notification and then apply for NET Examination. The examination fees Of NET was Rs 450 and Candidates have to pay the fees as a challan form in any SBI Branch and then you are allowed to fill the online NET Application form.

    >> You are also eligible to apply for SET Examination, The SET Examination Notification was already Published in the official website. The last date of apply for SET Examination was 14/Sep/2011.

    The Registration process was already started and candidates may fill the application form Online and If you want to get more Information then please check the Official website -

    you can apply in engineering colleges across in india wide,if you are work any place in india, so my best suggestion is to you apply to south india wide colleges, because south india has top 10 engineerings across india, so you can apply to south india wide engineering colleges.

    You have just completed your your MS degree and also you are computer science field.

    If you want join in govt sector with part time then you are eligible.

    If you want to join in full time , then you must be qualify in NET exam.]

    So you can try for NET exam.
