Re: what exams written get government jobs?

The companies that conduct written tests for recruitment of technical candidates of various disciplines respectively are:

    EIL
    ECIL
    BSNL
    ISRO
    SAIL
    GAIL
    NTPC
    BARC
    BEL
    BHEL
    L&T etc.

You can also write any of these, but any graduate is eligible for these irrespective of their discipline in graduation:

    UPSC
    APPSC
    CIVILS
    BANK POs etc.

One of the good ways to keep track of the notifications regarding the government jobs is to keep checking the following sites regularly:

    http://employmentnews.gov.in/
    http://www.govtjobs.co.in/

    eligibility:

The basic eligibility is to complete graduation from a recognised college/university wth a minimum of 60%, but most technical jobs demand a 65%.
Some companies like IOCL are not conducing any written tests, but instead considering GATE score. So, it's compulsory to not only write GATE, but to get a good score.

    Regards!
