    Train driver is the one who transports passengers and goods in a train from one place to another. Hence, the post is given more importance. The exams to select eligible candidates to the various posts in railways are conducted by Railway Recruitment Board (RRB). If you wish to be a train driver, then you must qualify in the respective exam conducted by RRB. You can see the notification either on the leading newspapers or on the official website of railway board. You must read the notification thoroughly before applying for the exam. Those who qualify in the exam will be first selected to the post of diesel driver or electric locomotive assistant. After getting sufficient experience in the respective field, they will get promotion as train driver.

    For appearing in the train driver exam, the applicants are required to complete 10th standard from a recognized school. The age limit for the exam is 18-30 years. The applicants are also needed to pass the ITI course in any particular trade. They should have a good presence of mind to manage different tough situations. They should have patience and good discipline to complete their task. These aspirants should be manageable to any time schedules. They need good interpersonal abilities to cooperate with their co-workers. This job also needs immense stamina and hard work.

    Hello dude!

    Railway driver is the most important person in executing the huge task of transporting nearly seventeen million passengers and more than two million ton of fright daily with the help of 2,25,000 wagons,45,000 coaches and more than 8300 locomotive engines of various kinds.

    To transport seventeen million passengers and millions of tons of fright and that to with taking care of both the traveler's convenience and safety is not a mean task.

    Thus Engine driver is one of the most important posts in the railway staff.To discharge his duties efficiently and effectively he requires special training and Knowledge.

    ELIGIBILITY TO BE AN ENGINE DRIVER:

    * To be eligible to become an engine driver in India one should be at least Matriculate plus ITI course in specified trades.
    * Minimum age of the aspiring candidate should be 18 years and maximum age limit is 30 years.

    In order to prepare for the exam you must concentrate mainly on:
    GENERAL KNOWLEDGE,
    APTITUDE,
    MATHEMATICS and
    ENGLISH.

    Go through the competitive books and refer them completely.
