Re: What is the minimum passing marks in IBPS? Details about IBPS exam?

    Dear Aspirant,

    ~DETAILS ABOUT IBPS EXAM~

    - IBPS is Institute of Banking Personnel Selection.

    - This institute is approved by IBA(Indian Banking Association) for conducting Common Written Exam(CWE) for various 19 Public Sector Banks, without SBI and its Associates.

    - There are total two types of exams, 1. Clerk and 2. PO/MT.

    - The exams are conducted twice in every year.

    - A Score Card will be issued to those candidates who will score more then the minimum cut off marks in each sections.

    - The validity of Score card is of 1 year.

    - A score card holder becomes eligible for Direct interview for any of these nineteen banks.

    ~Cut-off Marks for IBPS CWE~

    - There is no official un close for the minimum cut off marks for passing in each section of Written exam.

    - But the cut of will not more then 35% in each section for reserved ones and 40% for unreserved ones.

    - One more thing, only scoring the cut- off marks will not help you to make eligible for interview.

    - If you gain 50% in each section and more then 60% in aggregate, then in my point of view, you will be safe.

Re: What is the minimum passing marks in IBPS? Details about IBPS exam?

IBPS exam is conducted in the national level for different bank post like ::

    Clercial
    PO
    Specilist officer

The total number of banks take part in this examination are 19 public sector banks .SBI and its assccociates bank do not take part in this exam.

List of banks which take part in the IBPS exam are ::

The cut off of the exam depends on the following factors ::

1.Number of students appeared for the exams
2.Number of students qualified for the exam
    3.Number of post.
    4.Difficulty of exam paper .

So if you get marks more then 60 % then you might be among the top students and can get a call from all banks .

Genereally cutoff goes 30 to 40 % which means that if you are average students and score around 50% marks then you might get a call from more then 5 to 6 banks .

For example ::Lets take a IBPS clerical exam the cutoff the different sections are :

    English language- 19 marks
    Quantitative aptitude- 25 marks
    Reasoning- 27 marks
    General awareness- 28 marks
    Computer awareness- 28 marks
