Most of the govt job demand a score of 65% aggregate. I fyou want to get into a govt field after BTech,

You will have to make use of the most of your talent. Cracking govt jobs in India is very tough.

Tey conduct separate exams followed by interview round. Besides this, you need to have a valid GATE score aswell.

And your communication in English also plays a big role inorder to crack the interview rounds.

    Hi,

As you are doing BTech with CS branch, you have lots of opportunities in private software companies and less opportunities
in governemnt departments or PSU companies.
But the government is opening several departments at state level or central govt level to promote the awareness of Information
Technology and hence opportunities are increasing.
So you may have good chances after completing your BTech.

For governemnt or PSU jobs, you should have good conceptual understanding of the chapters taught to you in BTech.
You should buy a book GATE for CS engineers by G K publication now. The syllabus of GATE exam is almost similar to
all other PSU exams. Start practicing the questions from this book for the chapters taught to you.
Most of the syllabus is from 2nd year and 3rd year of engineering. But you can practice the questions of MATHS as this
    subject is taught for 3semesters.

Various PSU companies where you have chances of getting jobs:
    - BSNL
    - SAIL
    - IOCL
    - CDAC
    - MTNL
    - AAI

You must have good communication skills so that you can crack the interview and must have good knowledge of general English, because
General English questions are asked in almost all the exams these days.

You should start the Certification Course in Java, as its demand is good and suppose you could not get the succes in govt exams,
then you can easily get job in Software companies because of thsi course.
