    Hello Dear,
    With your current qualification of Diploma in Metallurgy,you can't apply for Assistant Loco Pilot Job in Indian Railways as Diploma in following Engineering Courses are valid for this job.
    Mechanical Engineering
    Electrical Engineering
    Electronics Engineering
    Automobile Engineering

    Railway Recruitment Board recruits eligible candidates on the post of "Assistant Loco Pilot" in the pay scale of Rs 5200-20,200 with grade pay of Rs 1900/-, for its jurisdiction area through direct recruitment.The Assistant Loco Pilot get the higher posts in the sequence as described below through normal channel of promotion.
    Assistant Loco Pilot
    Shunting Loco Pilot
    Goods Loco Pilot
    Passenger Loco Pilot
    Mail/Express Loco Pilot

    Eligibility Criteria
    Educational Qualification:-Matriculation or its equivalent under 10+2 system and course completed Act.Apprentice or I.T.I in any of the following specific trades recognized by SCVT/NCVT:
    Fitter
    Electrician
    Instrument Mechanic
    Mill Wright/Maintenance Mechanic
    Mechanic Radio & T.V
    Electronics Mechanic
    Mechanic Motor Vehicle
    Wireman
    Tractor Mechanic
    Armature & Coil Winder
    Mechanic Diesel
    Heat Engine
    Turner
    Machinist
    Refrigeration & A.C.Mechanic
    or
    Diploma in above mentioned Engineering course recognized by AICTE in lieu of I.T.I

    Age:-18 to 30 years

    Selection Procedure/Stages of Exam
    1)Written Examination
    2)Aptitude Test
    3)Document & Candidature Verification

    You should continue your higher education i.e B.E/B.Tech Degree in Metallurgy/Mechanical from a AICTE Recognized College through lateral entry scheme by which you may apply for Metallurgy Assistant or various other posts in Indian Railways on the basis of degree in Metallurgy/Mechanical.
