Whether to go for M.Tech or MBA from correspondence?

I have done my BTECH from Kalyani Government Engineering College in Mechanical Engineering in the year 2010. Presently I am working in Astha Energy Services Kolakata as a deputy manager. It is a Design & Consultancy Company in field of Power Generation, Process Plants, Water Treatment etc. I am overall satisfied with my job profile, though presently with one and half years experience I am looking for a job in a more reputed compan with higher package.
Now I genuinly want to go for higher studies so that I can porsper in my career in near future.
But my problems are as follows

    1. I came from a very low middle class family and to leave the job for higher studies is a big desicion and that means real problem for my family. Thats the reason MBA from a regular instituite is not a choise for me.
    2. I can opt for correspondence MBA but I am not sure which instituite is suitable for me in Kolkata. Also since I am working in pure engineering field lso not sure which will be the suitable subject.
I mean to say marketing or finance seem not suitable me as I will not be able to highlight my job experience in the profile later on.

    3. Another option is that I have got 496 gate score this year with a percentile of 97. With this I can get admission in a good NIT ex; Trichi, Suratkhal, Warangal. The advatage I feel here will be if I do the MTECh in Thermal engineering it will be helpful for my profile as my job experience will be effective in future job interviews.
But I can struggle for 2 years as I will be getting scholarship but it is very important that I get a good job after that because it will not be possible for me to for more studies. Thing is other than NIT Trichi I am not sure what kind of campas recruitment happens in other NIT's.

So please suggest me one way that I should follow, I am in total confusion.

Re: Whether to go for M.Tech or MBA from correspondence?

It is clear that you are not interested in pursuing MBA. You seem to more inclined to increase your technical knowledge. All the NIT institutes offer good placement opportunities. You will certainly find better job opportunities after M.Tech. Other than scholarship for financial assistance you can also consider taking a student loan. You will need to make the repayment only once you complete the course. You can visit the website of the NIT institutes to know about the course structure, placements offers received by past students.
