    Is work experience important for applying to Stenographer post in RPSC?

    What are the important details regarding the recruitment process to the post of Stenographers in RPSC? Is work experience important for applying to this post?

    Yes there are various vacancies in different areas for the post of stenographers in Rajasthan Public Service commission. The candidates should apply to the position if they are interested towards this position and has all the important qualifications which are necessary for opting for this position. There are about 606 posts which are vacant in this area. The positions which are vacant in this area all belong to the positions which will be in the state secretariat. The candidates should be having a 12th class qualification from any school or institution which is reputed in all ways and recognized by the government also.

    The candidates are eligible to apply if they possess the O level certificates issued by the DOEACC under the control of the government of India and Ministry of electronics. Besides these, the candidates should also possess good proficiency in the area of computers also. The candidates should possess any one of the following certificates in the following areas from any recognized training institutes –
    • Data Preparation and Computer Software (DPCS)
    • Computer operator & Programming Assistant (COPA)

    The candidates can also have a diploma in the field of Computer Science/computer engineering /Computer applications from any recognized university or college or from any of the polytechnics institutes also. The candidates who are applying should be between the age limit of 18-35 years.

    IV. JUNIOR STENOGRAPHER -
    i) Scale of Pay: Rs. 4000-100-6000 (Pre- revised)
    [Placed in PB-1/ Rs 5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs. 2400 in the
    revised pay structure]
    ii) Qualification:
    a) Graduate with One Year Diploma/Certificate in computers from a
    reputed Organizations
    b) Shorthand speed of 80 words per minute in English or Hindi &
    c) Knowledge of computer
    iii) Process of recruitment:
    a) Written Examination: English Language, Clerical Aptitude,
    General Awareness, Numerical Aptitude
    b) Shorthand Test at the speed of 80 wpm in English/Hindi



    II. STENOGRAPHER -
    i) Scale of Pay: Rs. 5500-175-9000 (Pre- revised)
    [Placed in PB-2/ Rs 9300- 34800 + Grade Pay Rs. 4200 in the
    revised pay structure]
    ii) Qualification: a) Degree from a recognized University
    b) Shorthand speed of 100 words per minute in
    English/Hindi
    c) Knowledge of Computer
    iii) Process of recruitment:
    a) Written Examination: English Language, Clerical Aptitude,
    General Awareness, Numerical Aptitude
    b) Shorthand Test at
