    Am i eligible for government job after studying M.Tech and B.Tech?

    i am studying M.tech after B.tech completed ( under distance education scheme). Am i eligible for government job?. and am i eligible for teaching profession? pls kindly clarify me soon. nsendhilkumar80@gmail.com (9095290681)

    You can get in academic area jobs in government sector after M.Tech. You are eligible for the same even if you have taken PG degree as a distance course. In such cases, you should have taken up this qualification from a recognized university. You can apply for lectureship positions in government colleges and universities. UGC NET is the concerned entrance examination in this respect. For this, 55% marks is necessary in M.Tech course. You should qualify this exam and obtain a high score in this exam. Application for UGC NET exam can be done through online. If you get qualified on the basis of NET exam score, you can appear GD and personal interview rounds.

    Ofcourse you are eligible for government job after Mtech and Btech.

    Gov companies recruit Btech aswell as Mtech freshers. Since you didnt mention your branch, i cant guide you with the companies directly.

    Besides after a Mtech degree, you can choose teaching profession in any of the reputed college in your branch.

    And having a MTech degree can fetch you the post of Professor or maybe HOD in a few years.
